Ayurveda Nutmeg Milk Recipe for Insomnia

Ayurveda Nutmeg Tea is used for treating insomnia from ancient times. Have the tea after dinner to relax and to prepare your body for a restful sleep

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup skim or 2% milk (can use a non-dairy substitute like almond milk, coconut, rice or soy milk, if preferred)

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg powder (organic optional)

  • Pinch of cinnamon, (organic optional)

  • Honey to taste, (organic optional)

Directions

  1. Bring milk to a boil on the stove, letting it bubble.

  2. Reduce heat to medium, stirring occasionally for 2 to 3 minutes.

  3. Add in your nutmeg and stir until combined. Pour into a mug and add ground cinnamon, if preferred. If you’re using honey, be sure to let your milk cool down a bit before adding the sweetener.
